that's really cute. :D I can totaly imagine the characters being actors in their respetive films. each one out of their "movie" costume and wearing their casual clothes they would have worn outside of filming their movies.

Walt Disney implied that Mickey and Minnie Mouse were actors who were married off-screen, so this is actually not far off from Disney canon.

Especially when you consider when the Disney Channel started that House of Mouse thing where Mickey was a Theater host with the other disney characters gathered around at dining tables chatting among eachother.

a similar thing that Cartoon network did for a year with all the cartoon network characters all occupying a single modern day city.

And USA Network, if you'll forgive me for only remembering live-action series. Monk (Monk) was trying to hedge with Johnny Smith's touch-based power (Dead Zone), Johnny was sorta frenemy rivals with fake psychic Shawn Spencer (Psych), Shawn actively teases Monk (who, as a mess-hating psychological mess, is a strange mix of undeserving victim and overly demanding snob), and even Hank Lawson (Royal Pains) said a few words when Monk's show ended.

The character designs of Robin and Marrian are practically the same, meaning that if you've started drawing one, up until a certain point, you've half drawn the other as well. Narrower hips would help, without needlessly blowing out her chest.

Great pic, great idea. I suddenly find myself enamored with the idea of a 1970's Robin Hood, if more in the style of "Smoky and the Bandit". Come to think of it, the opening of that movie was pretty "Dukes of Hazard", wasn't it?

Ah-ha! So i'm not the only one who thinks "Robin Hood" is more an extended episode of "Dukes of Hazzard". I mean the Sheriff sounds like he belongs in the Wild West than Middle Ages England. Only thing missing were the General Lee jumps.

I think a large part of that was the voice actor, in rottinghams case. You can find more of his live action work on Petticoat Junction and Green Acres, and I'm almost positive he got around more than that.

I think the music direction also has a something too do with it.

It's practically already written, given a little twist here and there, and maybe some canoodling for the ending

Rooster guy who sounded like DoH's narrator. Then you have Lady Cluck. Hoo-boy! The chicken who linebackers those soldiers after the archery tournament. Literally stole the show there. And they all get together for an old fashioned hootenanny to mock Prince John.

I know at least three real life counter parts to those characters, most of which I could see doing something like that (bowling through a bunch of police during a football game)
