A request I got from a friend
SeanDemon on Facebook. I'm so happy with how it turned out, despite the delay
It's a scene I got from a story, the full link is at the bottom of the description, here's the scene's part:
"A loud knock sounded out into the empty halls, Dracoil’s eyes shot open, his green eyes seeing clearly that it was still dark and dawn was still far away. Who could be knocking at such an hour? he wondered without making an effort to get up, hoping that whoever it was would tire of knocking and figure out no one would respond. The knocking ceased for a moment, giving the forlorn dragon a reprieve to possibly regain his sleep, but the visitor seemed convinced they would get a response and resumed their rapping. Dracoil did his best to ignore the call to entry as long as possible, he was not in any condition to allow anyone in, especially a burglar. There was another pause; Dracoil listened carefully for the sound of footfalls walking away from the door or a car pulling away, but none were heard; instead, the knocking came again, but this time it was different. Lifting himself from beneath the covers he extended his fins to hear a bit clearer, the rapping now sounded desperate, desolate in a way, as if calling for help.
Jumping from his bed he tossed aside his covers, donning the bare minimum of clothing out of basic etiquette than the embarrassment of being seen nude and made way for the entrance. Skulking around the corner, staying close to the walls, revealing his claws in the case it was an intruder he looked out the window. He could not see who was at the door, and for lack of a peephole, he was left without many other options. Calling out to his solicitor he demanded a reason for being woken at such an hour. The voice on the other end responded a bit shakily, it was softer than the ones he recognized, stating he was searching for a friend and was told that his household might know him. Dracoil was wary, as anyone would be after receiving a late night visitor. Shouting outward again he ordered to hear the name of the so-called ‘friend’, only to be responded with his own name. He didn’t recognize the voice and rebutted by asking for the inquirer's name in return. The answer to this one, however, was not expected: Shoutless, Shoutless Max.
Upon hearing the name, one that no one in his colony should have known of, Dracoil slowly opened the door a crack to see who could be playing such a cruel trick on him. Outside his doorway stood a lithe, indigo dragon with not but warm clothes for the cold night and a suitcase in each hand. “Dracoil?” came the visitor’s tremulous voice, “S-Shoutless?” came Dracoil’s equally incredulous tone. Opening the door carefully, almost afraid of scaring away his lover, to see him in his full appearance, not only his face, but his body too; Shoutless couldn’t help but drop his possessions and run towards Dracoil to reclaim what was his, he had found the one he had searched for so long.
Dracoil’s mind was reeling, Shoutless couldn’t possibly be there, he must have been dreaming. Instinctively he wrapped his dominant arm around the smaller blue dragon’s waist to keep him steady and placing his other hand atop his head, his claws now sheathed, consoling Shoutless. Tears of happiness threatened to escape his draconic eyes, it wasn’t a dream, Shoutless was here in his arms.
Holding each other close the two bridged the final distance that came between them. Though they would have loved nothing more from the world than to stay in their embrace, they couldn’t stand there all night. Letting go reluctantly Dracoil ushered Shoutless into his home, away from the cold, lonely exterior, closing and locking it out behind them."

P.S. The back of Dracoil isn't updated in this piece, since I hadn't designed this then, the correct ref will be posted later.
