So a few days ago I made a Tumblr post about how in episode 4, Flame's hair is dark purple, and as she is hatless half of the episode, many fans, like me, remembered it and assumed it's her season 1 design's hair color. But oddly in the very next episode, in the very end for like 2 or 3 seconds, she has her hat but not her veil so we can see her hair... and it's dark blue ?!
So I made several explanation : animation/color mistake (my headcanon, I still am in the purple hair wagon), plain animation/drawing mistake like mistaking the veil for her hair and also miscoloring it, the light, dyed hair, wigs...
And then came my friend Louise Rabey, a common friend with  peeweewi, who suggested that she actually has black hair. That what we thought being dark purple were shadings, and same for the blue, but it was instead of purple either for another light or to make a parallel with Loungealot as in this short 2-3 seconds long scene they had swapped clothes.
I find this theory very good. I don't headcanon it, I remain with the classic purple and animation error making it blue, but it's a close second.
So I had to give a try. I like how it came out, interpret it as you want as she seems confused of this hair. Maybe she is weirded out by this new color from this theory, maybe she was dyed, maybe it's in the AU in which she does have it black and she is not weirded by the color but thinking about a new haircut, IDK man.
STOOOOOOOOP ACTUALLY MY FUCKING DYSLEXIA BADLY READ WHAT SHE SAID SHE ACTUALLY SAID THAT SHE THOUGHT THAT THE HAG OF GIS DIDN'T JUST SWAP THEIR CLOTHES BUT THEIR BODIES TOO AND SHE THOUGHT SHE HAD BLUE/BLACK HAIR LIKE LOUNGELOT'S (he is supposed to have black hair but it's colored blue as to show it's shades) AND ALWAYS THOUGHT SO AND ONLY NOTICED NOW I MADE THIS CONFUSED POST ONLY THE CLOTHES SWITCHED OOPS SORRY SORRY SORRY
