me sadboi bb that i made quite a bit ago but forgot to upload on here lol
otter stockton is where the saying scaredy cat came from: he is afraid of literally everything.
packed neatly with abandonment issues and an anxious-ambivalent attachment style, otter is the pinnacle of clinginess.
the female sign is a lil faded out bc i figure every once in a while otter freaks the fuck out and has an identity crisis based around that and who he rlly is especially bc ppl always think he's a girl so ya.
he is the most fragile thing and couldn't hurt a fly and tbh a fly would probably sooner hurt him. he grew up with a mom that was a distant and real shit mom overall, and his dad was the primary caretaker; took care of him and would cook and all that, but was emotionally distant and didn't really talk to otter much. he doesn't have siblings but has cousins who he was not around much, but when he was it was bitter sweet; they would tease him for being a scaredy cat and so small (compared to them), but at the same time they always made sure to take care of him, and have on multiple occasions beat the shit out of his bullies.
he is now a young adult living in an apartment in the shitty part of town, but his is probably the cleanest nicest looking room simply because he takes great care to everything. he owns a lot of plants and has a fish named biscuit that he loves the fuck out of. he loves cooking with ovens (but is afraid of stoves lowkey), and loves feeding guests. he works in a mall in a large fashion store where there's just shit thrown around everywhere, and it kinda stresses him out so he ends up spending his whole shift fixing it. believe it or not he has a fashion sense, he just won't wear anything besides turtlenecks and jeggings.
he's pretty meek and demure, but isn't opposed to conversation. he stutters quite a bit but when he gets more comfortable, perhaps talking about a shared interest (or god forbid, he gets started talking about his fish), it gets easier for him to speak clearly without overthinking it. he gets crushes a lot that usually last for not very long at all, but they'll come and go.
i have yet to decide if he has a roommate or not huMMM

"ripoff" is not a good way of referring to a design without the intention of being rude, but i understand you are not trying to attack me or anything
you are the second person to mention that, but quite honestly, i hadn't heard of the game until the first user mentioned it. i googled the game and i will say, yes, they are similar in that they are black cats with red eyes, but other than that.. the similarities kind of end.
i even went so far as to visit the game's wiki and read on the character, because i thought maybe they were referring to his personality or whatever, and even that isn't similar. he's a scaredy cat that's clingy and shy, that tends to plants in his crummy apartment and all he ever talks about is his pet fish. the other character from what i've gathered in skimming her wiki is a badass that's psychologically fucked up from a really bad childhood.
there aren't very many ways to design a black cat. personally, i do not like using completely desaturated blacks/greys/whites in my character designs as in the past couple of years, i've learned more about undertones and warm/cold contrast. they really add a lot to a character's design, and i love playing with color theory.
while i appreciate the feedback, as all feedback is welcome, i have to say, it's just not there.

bro wym im not their second acct??? cery is literally just one of the only artists i know on here + i never use FA, only to advertise characters for sale. but whatever continue trying to deter the point because yr mad that they didn't copy from this weird ass indie video game or whatever imo

okay, i figure it is the design, but i mention personality for the sake that i don't see the design aspect. quite honestly, all there is is that they're different shades of blue with red eyes. he's leaning towards a teal, he's long with a curvy-ish/feminine figure. the insides of his ears are lighter. he doesn't have whiskers, cause he pulls them out from stress. his pawpads are blue, and he wears strictly jeggings and turtlenecks, and is barefoot.
from what i see, she's a dark indigo with orange eyes, an orange/brown baseball tee with a zero on it, grey pants, and blue boots. she has hair, a fucked up ear, and little markings on her forehead. really, all they have in common is that they have a teal/indigo coats, and red/orange eyes. i don't even know what a "vibe" to a character means, but when i look at her she looks like she'll fuck someone up in an alleyway for money and he looks like he gets stressed out putting his change away after making a purchase because there's a lot of people in line behind him and he's taking too long.
*note also that i promote my own things on my own page already.. i haven't even posted that character on my page, nor has that page posted any of my designs/characters i'm trying to sell currently.

i understand i am typing a lot, which may seem excessive, however i do not feel like having to repeat this in the future, because i am certain a fan of this game will at some point come across this and repeat the same things you have, and it would just be easier to refer them to my comments.
i would just like to add this: have you considered how many characters look alike?
for example red pandas.. tuxedo cat characters..
certainly, a character exists on this website that is a tuxedo cat with red eyes. that is bluish-black. and i will reckon there are three more just like it. except perhaps a marking is different. different clothes perhaps, and almost certainly, different personalities.
this is rarely an issue because, generally, it's understood humans have a limited color palette with vision, and so when an designer goes to create that image burning in their mind, there are a limited number of ways to portray it holding true to that image. a black cat with red eyes; i will be damned if there is not another three characters on this website that look similar to otter. it's an incredibly simple design, and thus, it is easy for one to stumble upon a creation like this in their own mind. black cat, red eyes. simple.

Check this out. I was there for the design process too. She doesn't know about the game like that to have even copied that character first of all. Second, and like has been said. There's really only so many ways to draw certain species especially if that's what you're going for. Like if someone wants a black cat character. Well. Newsflash lots of those out there. There's only so many ways to change the character to be different while still staying true to that animal, when that's what you're going for.
Point is in the end. There's guaranteed to be cats like this. That are even closer to this game's character. That are "different" because of one thing. And to me this character doesn't look a whole lot like that one. Besides the animal happens to be the same. Not much to do about that. So I'd be glad if you relaxed a bit off my friend.
