He is strong, and that's why he's not dead but...
His abilities come from a deep pain he's been subjected to.
Having your own soul, your being, being touched and engulfed in perpetual hellfire.
(I'm yet to work out the "science" (logic (sort of)) of his powers, but this seems like a good step in the right direction!)
Finally giving Gil some much deserved love after like... more than half a year of not drawing him.
I feel its been that long. At least.
