This is a bit of odd project. It is based on the markings of my male cat...a very stylized version of his markings. He wasn't exactly thrilled with my plan, since it involved me taking many photos of his face from lots of angles and in good light...so lots of holding him in my lap and photographing him up close.

It is all leather with wire stitching. The base piece of the mask is Ostrich leather which is a bit thin so definitely interesting to work with. I added a layer of fabric to the back to make it comfortable to wear. I then reinforced the area behind the ears and the area where strings will go and then stitched the whole thing onto the mask.
