No. I prefer long arms, but not so much as the character walks like a gorilla. Short legs, but not so much. What I have in mind is something like this. Yes, as I said before, your race is very interesting. Small (or not very large) stumps means they can run more easily on two legs, like humans. The longer arms give that touch werebear that I am looking for in my characters. And you are right. Your new design will become more like a bear.
