The three-mouthparted Cambrian velvet worm. Made as the first MUTO, already a relic when the radiotroph ecosystems were at their zenith, because space origin is dumb. Numbers indicate the limbs, the middle head are the first two limbs fused along their length. Scales are based on the scales of butterflies, springtails or silverfish. Wings can fold tightly and are hidden under covers, similar to dermapteran wings.

is it a hunting predator?
But this is a good idea. Brings to mind Opabinia.
With the idea of Radiation metabolization being a randomizer and allowing bizarre-to-modern-day forms, there are a fair few methods to make Ghidorah a more realistic creature instead of BSing him from space or getting mystical.
Cambrian lobopods were crazy in general, and since this design is essentially a Cambrian lobopod, similarities are to be expected.
Indeed. Space origin might fit into the loony bin that is the Showa series, but doesn't work for a setting that tries to be more grounded. Also, I would prefer the writers to come up with something new and exciting rather than using the same ideas previous writers had.
But compared to the teaser at the end of Kong https://s7.postimg.org/up8bc5tuz/Sc.....26_at_5.43.jpg and https://i1.wp.com/otacouncil.com/wp...../2017/03/c.png it's very odd.
The painting would seem to indicate something closer to Orochi or at least, it being bipedal in an upright stance as it seems to indicate "the body of a mountain".
It's possibly that all three "heads" are just tentacles with sensory organs on them. It's also possible only the central head is real and the other two are false heads on arms that have additional sensory organs on them.
Still, I do hope that he's treated as being so dangerous it takes all three of the other monsters to drive him off (not kill).
I also foresee that the only way for a modern Kong vs Godzilla film to even work is to introduce a 3rd player at the endgame as Godzilla is not only absurdly strong, he's also smart, thus giving Kong no edge in any manner, therefore making an actual fight something of a joke without giving Kong some super powers as an adult.
While these kind of speculation are fun (and I would certainly prefer those kind of designs over just three heads), I would rather think they would design him either as siamese triplets or a case of regeneration gone awry, as lizards with tail injuries can grow additional tails.
Kong has the advantage of being much faster, can climb and is also more prone to using tools.
Siamese is also possible.
Yes, Kong is indeed more prone to tool usage and has a form more ready to wheel around and move more quickly.
I'm suddenly reminded of your image of Legendary Goji needing a flyswatter again.
