This was made as a special gift to
CargoDane all she really asked for was for me to take this one stone she owned a very beautiful brown swirled agate pendent she owned and just do something pretty with it.
so with that i took some 20 gauge pure copper wire and wrapped the pendent doing what i could to stay with the contores and natural flow of the pendents markings.
I am happy with the result, what i like best is the wire is set sturdily enough that no glues or adhesives where needed to keep it set.
Next came some charms and minor accents. i wanted to stray a lil from the typical round bead styles and go with something a lil more unique and playful to the eyes, much like
CargoDane who bares a unique and playful personality around all her friends at out local meets.
with that in mind i chose to use opalized pearl shell chips thier intresting shape worked quite well with the concept.
after that i took a few tigers eye, beads to keep continuity with color flow, and some puter leaf and butterfly accents to help the project pop and catch the eye more, but also to represent her free and floaty nature she seems to bare.
i hope she really likes it, this was definitely one of my funner projects to work on.

immense patience <laughs) the stone isn't a huge one but a decent enough size to work with, still it took a good number of try's to get the wire to sit sturdy and tight without the use of any glues or adhesives, i did use pliers but i had to work in a way that they wouldn't scratch the wire, or the stone, to get started i used round nosed pliers then to keep the form and shape as consistent as possible i held the wire with large flat nose pliers and slowly twisted both ends till they formed the spiral shape i wanted, after that it was a matter of affixing it to itself while keeping it tight and smooth. funny thing is after i finished the project i was able to find a pair of nylon nose pliers that are perfectly ideal for that sort of work <laughs) oh well.
