Commissioned by Joukaimokie of her character Rei (the small wolf) and Virus (the big wolf) curled up together trying to gain some modicum of comfort on a very rainy day.
This is one of the few cell-shaded pieces I'm pretty happy with. Usually I feel very dissatisfied with how I complete pieces like this, but keeping a looser sketch style and allowing the cell-shading to work with it rather than fight it has paid off IMO. Too often I feel like I'm hiding my linework, but this time the lines can speak for themselves.

Yes, I agree this picture really worked WITH you than against you. The sketch can still be seen in a nice way and looks better all around. I like how you added small details like how the water is reflecting off of the log and how the rain is drizzling in. It's details like that that make these sorts of picture just awesome overall.
