I am loving this so hard. You know what's funny, if you don't mind a bit of interpreting/Sister Wendy-ing on your art? A few things like your mind and imagination get to play in recess during your commute it seems. You draw yourself sitting, eating, computing, but you imagine all this world completely enveloping you during your trips. The space taco lounge inside, the ships outside that give scale and then space itself, that goes on forever and instantly tells us where you are, that's neat inner reflection.
Also, you're alone, I think you may feel quite alone during your trips, though I don't know if you'd feel quite lonely all the time. There are pairs of species together, but you and another figure are alone. Also, there's lots of space in the lounge, empty tables. No pair of people or single individual is looking at any other pair or individual, makes everyone have an air of isolating or keeping to themselves. And there's nothing particular about that other than I think a bit of that comes through you. *hugs* I wish I could commute with you and make a bit of ruckus, though I promise I'd behave. There is a certain Holocaust memorial bronze sculpture and I forgot the artist that made it, but all the figures in the sculpture stand isolated, with eroded textures, all the figures' feet are fully and firmly bonded to the thick slab base of the sculpture, thus expressing heaviness and no levity. It's a powerful if deftly subconscious sculpture, and some of how it communicates is some of how you seem to communicate through drawing. :) And I think that interpreting is fun and neat, though I mighta been fully off with this one. cx I love the art and all it makes spring to mind. Good on you dearie <3

I'm so glad you like it! And yeah, a lot of your thoughts are really spot on I think, even the ones I didn't consciously intend. :) I'm enjoying the travel in one sense, it's kind of an adventure and I get to enjoy good bad food each week, and the solitude in motion can be fun... but yeah, there's also a persistent and strong sense of loneliness about it it, too. You're surrounded by people but you're always doing it all on your own. And even being able to enjoy it, it gets really exhausting being on the move so much. When I finally make it home I kind of just collapse for the next day or so before I restore brain function enough to be useful again.
I didn't intend any conscious meaning with the arrangement of the other background characters, but I can see the points you make and how they might indeed have unintended meaning. :) I'm moving through the world, and all these other passing strangers around me are real people living their own lives too, either on their own or as couples or friends or whatnot, and you get these moments of glimpsing other people and wondering what their stories and relationships are. And yet at places like this, coach stations or rail stations or fast food joints or starports, everybody's travelling and passing through, each on their own relatively solitary journeys.
So yeah, I think in most ways you're spot on with your thoughts on this. :) It's really neat to hear your interpretations! And it would be very fun to have a you along to keep me company and share tacos with. ^^

Well, Paco's focuses on space tacos, but I'm sure other nearby space transit cafes have other foods available! Space pizza would be a very obvious one. ^^ And they all cater to all possible species! The worlds in my brain are always very diverse ones after all.
