"In Our Own Nest" I don't usually draw birds, so this is rough, but I did this last night in bed, listening to the news. Tips on drawing better birds gratefully accepted. I haven't been this angry in a very long time. Copic Markers, on Manga Board, colored In photoshop. Scott Ruggels 9/11-12/01

I thought about putting this in scraps, but, it wasn't a scrap piece when I did it, and while it looks really flat these days, the sentiment was real. I suppose years later, I am still angry and will never forgive what was done, by a group of Saudi Engineering students with a grudge. My original day was documented on this journal here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2710101/ .]

My father's houseguest, a middle aged Palestinian engineer was horrified, and scared. My father took him out to get groceries during the day, and made sure he had everything he needed to get. There was no problem for him in Palo Alto, but I think he moved soon after. My father had spent a fair amount of time in the 1970's in the Middle east doing consulting work for the Kuwaitis, the Turks, and the Lebanese, before the Civil War. What is bothering me these days, besides ISIS, is what Erdogan is doing in Turkey, as family friends in Izmir are not optimistic, these days.
