Well no.. you should give it the shape you feel like, if that shape is female, do it.
I'm creating on a few parametres, so to speak, what I do know about the character; it doesn't have balls (literally and metaphorically), it's tall, self-neglecting (therefore thin), pragmatic, and other things like that, but they still leave a LOT of possibilities open.
What do you know for certain your character should have, and what is open to mess with? :)
