Well, once you're a furry, doesn't mean you have to stay one forever. It's pretty much a geek fandom around cartoon characters and tastes change, people change. :o
If you go, don't delete all your hard work and keep in contact with the friends you've made. ^_^;
I get a feeling this type of image might be against the FA TOS, BTW. :o
With the porn thing, it's definately the most visible part of the fandom and the problem with that is that it does attract people who think that is what the fandom is about thus making the problem worse. But you know, the fandom is so large, you can make it what you want. You don't have to take porn commissions, though yeah, I wouldn't rely on it financially, in fact I wouldn't rely on the fandom for a job anyway. It's much more sane to find a job outside the fandom. :)

As far as against the TOS, whatever. I posted this as a journal 2 days before i posted this and no one saw it.
I don't intend to just delete everything tho, It will be left as it is.
The thing is, I play WoW and I am part of a worgen pack guild. We consisrtently were getting furrys applying for a while cuz they were hoping we were a fetish pack or something. So now we have to screen new members very carefully so as to be sure we dont make a bad name for our guild. We even renamed it from a pack to a coven. It was getting ridiculous. And the bad thing about it is most of them acted so childish. Why do people like that have to give the fandom a bad name? I'm just sick of it.

Yeah, sadly the bad and stupid side of the fandom has grown and has become rather more vocalised, things in the world have become a lot more polarised too.
You have to try and find the furs who're doing it right and hope everyone else leaves you alone. :o Furry has been in the press a lot recently and has grown a lot, bringing in a lot of younger people who might not know how to behave, then you end up with their immaturity bouncing off each other and exploding in drama. Really the whole Internet needs deleting and taking back to the 90's/early 2000's. :)
