"Matt?" Lass asked
Matthew just kept stomping, away from the crowds, to the edge of the campus where the the buildings seemed always empty.
"Laddy, Talk to us." Lass said, jumping window reflection to reflection. "We get through this too."
"Really?" Matthew growled and started to walk toward the back of the building
"Matt, I can't keep up!" Lass shouted as he walked away "Just talk to us!"
"You guys are why I'm here!" Matthew shouted as he stepped toward the path to the main road.
"Matthew, Stop!" Brain said, Appearing on one of the old, vine-baring walls "We're just trying to help."
The words stopped him in his tracks "Like how you got me here?" His ears arched back more than usual, and his teeth started to peak from beneath his lips. "And lost my meds?"
Lass's ears drooped as his words came out
"It's All you're fault I'm miserable in the first place!" Matthew barked at his shadow.
"What do you mean?" Brian started to growl back "We're the sa-"
"Don't Go with that crap saying we're the same person, Brian!" Matthew shouted "You've said you were like another person in my head, so that can not work here!"
"Laddy, We know this, and that's why were trying to work with ya." Lass said "I just want what ye want!"
"Stay out of this, you!" Matthew shouted at her "You've only agreed because you want on my good side and me close to ladies!"
"I do not!" Lass barked back "I want what you want!"
"I just wanted a normal life," Matthew shouted "And now I'm going crazy, and seeing people as monsters at best!"
"An education can get you a good!" Brian growled "You'd get a better job, or any job for that matter if it we could keep our focus!
"You try to do anything when you got one girl giggling in your ear, a smart-alec who complains, and a guy who tries to kill us when our guard's down!" Matthew growled
"If we just got rid of The First, we'd ave no issues." Lass said "Ye ought to take it out on him."
"You first, Lass." Matthew growled at the reflection "That thing isn't normal, it's terrifying and we all know it."
"it was outside the bus the day we came here." Brain said "It's why we didn't get back off the bus."
"And yet it's still here, ruining my life like you guys."
"Were at least trying to help!" Lass Shouted "The day you saw Sera, you'd ave turn tail if I di'nt step in!"
"Same goes for Tori." Brain said "I Helped you through high school too, and I'm helping you here. Yes we messed up, but we're on your side!"
"And we want away from The first as much as ye do." Lass said "Even I ave to say, were best off gettin help like Brian said. Jus maybe from someone like Jake."
Matthew paused for a moment and then turned back toward the buildings of the university.
"He did offer us help." Brian said. "if something happens it's not all our fault.
Matthew was still silent looking back, and then he let out a deep sigh. "Only once," he started walking back "But if something happens.."
"I know..." Brian said "If it's about two, then he'll be finishing up one of this psychology classes."
