IT WAS AT THIS MOMENT THAT SIR ALLFIRE KNEW... HE FUCKED UP.
So little explanation :
I headcanon Allfire was a squire for 10 years, from ages 17 to 27, and had a love at first sight (3 days after he became a squire) with Princess Morlava, Regent Leodragon's daughter, while she fell in love with him one month and half later. For 10 years, like Flame and Flicker, they couldn't date, they were friends while being aware of each other's feelings, desperately waiting for him to be knighted (contrary to Flicker who is actualy doing exploits but is either too modest or gives his credits to Loungelot, Allfire was a bit too stupid for this and simply failed every try) by Leodragon who really hoped it would never happen, hating the squire. And Flame took from her dad : for those 10 years, Allfire sometimes hinted they would marry someday when he would be a knight, could be flirty and could kiss her cheek or her hand, but Morlava, having been taught to marry only knights, only blushed and changed subject, like Flicker (oh the story as old as time). On the 8th year, they both got worried and thought they would never get together if this kept going (especially as Leodragon, wanting to have an alliance with Coalmeliard, was interested in marrying her off to Prince Aglowvaine), so Allfire, start to work out intensely and make little jobs to earn money. 2 years later, he was a hunk, was relieved to hear that Aglowvaine married someone else because he got a love at first sight too, and on a quest, he found the Golden Gauntlet of Gallopingosko, and sold it to buy a whole new fixing, relooking and reparation to the castle that was falling apart (my headcanon of what he meant by having bought Camelhot with it ; he didn't buy the castle of Camelhot, it was already there, he just gave it a new look). Impressed, Leodragon, even if he hated him, was a fair dragon, so he finally knighted him. The 2 lovers were extremely enthusiastic, so Allfire asked her hand in marriage... But Leodraogn refused. They were extremely disappointed and hurt, and outraged. So for 2 weeks, they were sadly acting as they had been acting for 10 years, "friends". But one evening, despite the rules she grew up with and that didn't make her flirt back for a decade, joined Allfire in his room, saying, all shy, that it wasn't fair because her father refused to marry them off only because he was Allfire, if he were another knight he would have accepted, or simply if he didn't hate him he would have accepted. So by now, they would have normally been married for 2 weeks or a bit less. So she couldn't hold it anymore, and so couldn't Allfire anymore. They kissed and made love for the first time. For 2 years, they would pretend to only be friends and rarely show themself together in public, but they would secretly be dating, having a romantic but even sexual relationship. Nobody, not even the smart Leodragon, noticed, for they were careful...
The problem was that they tended to experiment new stuff in the bedroom, and the night before this drawing, they tried something they heard about, the "daddy kink", and even if they weren't into it, they played it along all night, even joking about it afterward because it was silly to them. The problem is as you can see, the next day, at lunch, Allfire kind of forgot that it ended, or was too used to hearing "daddy" for all the previous night's lenght. Aaaaaaaaaand unfortunately, Leodragon is smart and even if he's strict and traditionalist he knows like everybody on this planet what this kink is... And in only 3 seconds his neurones connected and he got what was going on.
Not shown in the pic : he will be extremely furious, saying things like "I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN YOU TWO WOULD NOT STOP TO SEE EACH OTHER" and stuff, enraged as he has never been before, will want to banish Allfire and to make a tournament for Morlava's hand, in order the separate them forever. But Allfire's squire Burnevere comes in time and convinces to let Allfire try to pull out the sword before banishing him and taking away his knight title. Because Burnevere had lately carefully studied and looked at King Pendragon's portraits, he looked almost like him, and Allfire didn't look like his father, and some days ago he had been smart enough to ask details to Leodragon who confessed him not any dragon can, even if it was what had been said to the people, but only Pendragon's hidden illegetimate son (I think the reason Leodragon didn't notice Allfire looked like his own later adoptive brother with who he grew up and loved with until his death was simply because not only he looked down at him as he was nothing but a squire and later started to hate him for a headcanon I will have to create, in either case his own mind censored and went in denial, like how King Allfire will be in denial about his first granddaughter looking like Regent/Sir Leodragon lol). Leodragon accepted, but even though it's generally a prevent and improvised event, Leodragon, sure Allfire would fail and leave forever afterward, he decided to humiliate him and scheduled it on the next day, with all the court invited (as we can see in the flashback) to look at his fail... Oh the surprise he would have the next day !
This misadventure is also why in his code he would later put (a law I created but knowing Allfire, it's probably existing) a law forbidding the knights to have sex out of marriage.
