We needed to shear our sheep, so rather than doing it outside in the heat and biting flies, we brought them into the house one at a time to shear them on the dog couch. There's a wooden floor, so any accidents would be easy to clean up, and sheep don't have that much of a smell, at least compared to dogs. We cranked up the AC and set up a fan.

Our elderly ewe Gertrude was totally calm the whole time and even fell asleep while we were shearing her. Once we were done, she didn't want to go back outside, she just laid there on the sofa with her head on my lap, enjoying the cool air from the fan.
