Crown crabs are either dead, or if they're lucky, can live their life with all the normal issues someone with traumatic brain injuries would have.

I mean, look towards people who survived traumatic brain injuries, and give them the ability to accidentally hurt or kill people with any emotional burst or accident. And then there's getting into any like, suspicion mistrust or abuse from people around them.
They wouldn't really be able to like, be a soldier fighting against the hive. Simple labor and daily chores would be difficult and stressful enough.
