Go FCC Yourself (Comic)
The new head of the FCC wants to try and get rid of Net Neutrality, but thankfully a lot of people banded together to fight back. When are these politicians going to learn, they can't get away with things like this?

It was serious enough for DeviantArt to acknowledge it. It will affect your livelihood if it's even a bit dependent on the internet. So go through the info in the links. they'll have more information on the subject than what I can give you in this description. I only ask that you post a journal to make people more aware and do whatever you can to help bring the message to the FCC that we do NOT want Net Neutrality to be threatened ever again.

In a sense, yes, definitely. Ever heard of "Breitbart"? It's a right-leaning news platform. Recently they made a fuss, how the "fake news" failed to mention that Polands First Lady eventually shook Trump's hand, while those media just pointed out that she snubbed him at first in favour of greeting Melania first. Also they were making a fuss how the press called the anti-G20 protests at Hamburg "left wing fascism", but hey, what is militant and violent aggression against the police force and citizens by left anti-G20 protesters other then the left wing version of fascism.
Coming back to fascism. Hitler and his Nazis and Mussolini and his Fascists found a common enemy: Jews. Trump and right wing populists found a common enemy: Muslims. The Nazis preached "racial purity". Trump and right wing populists preach against immigrants. The Nazis built a system of propaganda and lies. In the USA, FOX News (who belong to a buddy of Trump) twists the truth in Trump's favour and still is in negative campaign mode and praises Trump to the skies. They even mention his name in their Youtube Lifestream to serve his ego. Also, other news outlets, like Breitbart, but also political parties like the AfD in Germany, use the internet to spread fake news, while Trump denounces mainstream coverage that he doesn't like ... fake news.
Also, the FCC is appointed by the President, and Trump has a Cabinet full of businessmen and rich people (communist term "Burgeosy"), thus it cannot be communist.
Ending my little rant, I'd like to add, that many US citizens don't seem to know what Communism is, thus calling Social Democratic measures like Obamacare (that is all about nationwide solidarity with those in need of affordable health care) "F*cking Commie". Because hey, "pay for your own" is an utopy because there are people, who aren't lazy, quite contrary, who work their asses off, but still don't get enough money to pay for their healthcare. The US is a nation built by Christians, but it seems that even those, who are first and foremost Christian (Yes, Mr. Pence, I mean you!) who seem to forget that the christian social teachings have common ground with communism, for the first Christian lived in communities, where they gave most of their property to the church (the community), and the church gave to the poor and unfortunate. Diacons looked after widows and orphans, and some Saints like Cosmas and Damian looked after the sick people.

Well, I contest your claim that all Muslims are ahem evil. Just look at Indonesia and Philippines, where Muslims risked their lives smuggling their fellow citizens, who happened to be Christian, out of IS territory, or where moderate Muslims form 'militant' groups to defend democracy from religious extremists and fanatics.
It's like Middle Eastern countries imposing a Christian Ban because of past conflicts (*cough* Crusades *cough*). The fanatics and terrorists are like the crusaders (who were fanatics, too). But they do not represent the entire Islam, just like Westboro Baptist Church doesn't represent the entire Christianity.
I for one wouldn't mind Muslim neighbours. As long as they leave me in peace and I them, it's fine. Because Muslim is not Muslim, like Christian is not Christian. That means, there are different groupings with different beliefs, such as Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox...

Nu-uh, you don't get to do that. You don't get to go on a tirade about "how bad Muslims" are and then pleaded nieve ignorance when someone throws the facts right in your face. You think yours is the only country in the world to have Muslim refugees? I have actual neighbors who are Muslim, and they are good people. Everything you said is just you regurgitating shit you've heard being shouted by the loudest moron in a bunch, not fact checking ANY of it and just buying into the fearmooring then propetuating it like we're back during the damn Salem Witch trials. Just admit you were wrong so you can grow as a fuking person.
I know it won't work because your too stubborn and full of yourself to accept that what you said was wrong. I know about all that Plus the stuff that's happening in the UK, but I unlike you, know the edifference between refugees and terrorists. What names did I spout exactly? I'm being intolorent towards your intolorent comments about Muslims? That deflect was more poorly executed than the 2016 US elections, now THAT is pathetic. Believe me, nobody would blame them for coming over here, but unfortunately Islamophobia isn't limited to just the USA. I don't think you of all people should be giving me advice on how to spell check my writing.
I like you! Well, I already liked you, but I do believe I like you even more, now!
A quick rundown of current proposed changes in the net neutrality rules:
1. The FCC is looking at removing Title II of the Net Neutrality Act. This would mean that broadband would no longer be regulated as a utility (like gas, water, etc.), but as an information service -- which, annoyingly, would allow companies to sell different levels of speed for different prices.
2. The FCC is looking at getting out of policing internet companies. As part of ditching Title II, concerns regarding privacy policies and business practices would revert to the Federal Trade Commission, which handled such matters before 2015. This wuld also mean:
3. The FCC would no longer handle investigations of Internet Service Providers. (The current head has already stopped current investigations.)
Currently, comments are still open. Let your voice be heard, people! Follow the link to file comments on the proposed policy changes!

Ah, yes; net neutrality. The idea that giving power over regulating and controlling the internet into the hands of government rather than leaving it up to the free market will somehow benefit consumers.
Tell ya what; when you show me a governmental regulation on the free market that results in MORE free choice, LOWER prices, and BETTER service overall, we can discuss how 'net neutrality' relates to that and will result in the same. Until then, I'm going to have to go with the idea that governmental-failures are far more common and damaging than so-called market-failures, and err on the side of keeping government out of the market as much as possible.
