Here is the first half of the 8 page story I completed utilizing all the wonderful advice that I have acquired through the kind assistance and grand collaborations I have had with all of you. In reading it, I not only hope you enjoy the story, but also provide some feedback so that I know if I really am getting better at conveying a story.
Overview
Scuttle has invited his two younger friends, Cappy and Fritter, over for a fun day of play. However, when his great new idea fails to hold the attention of the youngsters, Scuttle heads off on his own in search of adventure and gets himself in a bit of trouble.
Part of the lovable, short story series The Tales of Silmaria, this exciting installment stars the two youngest and second oldest characters in the series. In it, Scuttle learns to better appreciate the unique qualities of his younger friends.
NOTE:
To help make the story more accessible, I have saved it in Rich Text Format (.rtf.) I hope this helps all of you who are not in the possession of MS Word. :)

Thanks, MJ! It means a lot to hear your thoughts on this as this project is something I am very close to.
As for Scuttle, he's definately going to get himself into quite the pickle in the second part. My hope is that the transitions and actions come off as believable and fun in leading up to the "big event." :)

I'm really glad you liked, Tacki. My hope is that this sort of story would be something parents would enjoy reading to their kids. Or, better yet, younger readers would get into reading for all the fun and mischief the little guys can get into.
Tomorrow I release the second half. I hope you are able to enjoy it as much as the first. (I split up to make it less of a daunting read for those who may be interested, but may not feel comfortable seeing 7 1/2 pages all at once) ;)

It sounds like fun times! I'm guessing because the wedding hasn't happened yet, this is before the bigger story I read? :3
Pockypants, backpacks... I wonder if murses and purses will ever become a trend for Haposaurs. 8D
Fritter and Cappy have a cute friendship going on too!
*Ties a cape around himself* Bum buh bah~! Adventure is out there! :3

You are correct, Oxnard. This story actually takes place about a week, or so, before the events of "City of Solitude." It's purpose, aside from being fun and having a message in it, was to introduce Raz, who is the older kid that gives Scuttle and Bubble a hard time when the "purple sparkles" are overtaking the wedding. :)
Actually, in time, murses and purses do become part of haposaur attire. However, that doesn't appear in the storyline until about 100 years after this story takes place. *Clever smile and nod*
Thanks for taking the time to read this. It means a lot to have your thoughts and opinions on a project that I have put so much of my time and talent into. :)
