People walk by and I guess they already know me even though I never seen them before. I almost think I should say hi if they're so sure about it, I'm starting to remember some of their faces, but some of them all look the same. I can't afford nice jeans lady, and if I could I wouldn't waste it on pants, I'd buy a pizza for me and mom. Still I'm not trying to get whatever you have, it can't be much if you're walking past me.
I'm not a shiny face kid, they won't pay me to flip the board over. I'm just a skater rat sitting on hot stairs until it's time to go inside or go to school or roll around until I end up back here. That's all I'll ever be and it's still better than a lot because a lot of us are already locked up or dead by now.
This marks my "Triumphant" return to traditional artwork, with shoddy coloring to boot. I didn't think Ely would look right in digital coloring, my traditional style's naturalcrappiness grittiness is ideal for how I tend to portray him.
Ely (That's pronounced E-Lee) is the main character in my story series "Skater Rat" which you've never read and never will.
