Well, in the group, one of the prompts was quality time- time to relax and spend time in the company of a loved one to de-stress.
Considering Caspian's profession and the fact that he didn't really, have a home for more than 5 years. The concept is very foreign to him. However, when he was taken in by the old cop and allowed to hide out at his appartment from time=to-time, he started to feel a connection to the environment and caling it 'home base'.
