Anyway, this is Deshe! He’s the same race as Nyma, since I wanted to do a bit of worldbuilding and explore design opportunities~ Their home planet was conquered by the Galra centuries ago, and the species has become a nomadic one, with a few permanent colonies scattered about the outer reaches of the Empire. While some have been sold into slavery, or travel around the galaxy doing whatever is needed to survive Zarkon, others like Deshe live in defiance of the Emperor and do what they can to fight back.
In his youth, Deshe was a weapons designer and engineer, mostly selling to mercenaries or local militia. That is, until a Galra general took notice of his work and demanded Deshe start mass production for the Empire. Unwilling to let them have access to his genius, Deshe went into hiding with what he had left and has been fighting off invaders - Galra or otherwise - ever since.
