The plane shook violently, throwing things everywhere.
Firefight ran for the cabin of the plane, "What's happening?"
"They hit an engine!" Sue shouted as she pulled up on the controls "Some heavy machine gun!"
Circuit looked to him as the radio cam to life "i'm trying to keep her steady, sir, but there's no landing that'll be safe."
Firefight looked out of the window and saw the airfield hand non-military trucks and personnel on it, and then he looked to the pilots behind them who were silent but had fear in their eyes. "Brace for impact." he told Sue and Circuit and then lead the pilots to the back. "Grab a chute and get out of here." he said
"What about you guys?" the co-pilot said "There's not enough for everyone here."
"The chutes aren't made for us." Firefight ushered them to the cargo with the Super weapons. "Besides, this is what we're made for." He gave them each a parachute. "Circuit, open up the back!" he grabbed onto part of the plane as the back opened up "Just stay alive, and good luck."
"You too, sir!" The pilot said and jumped out of the plane.
"Everyone else, Grab hold of something!" he shouted and the rest grabbed hold of wires, Velcro and anything to keep them in place, a moment passed and then they smashed and skid across the concrete runway. It didn't stop moving till they smashed against a truck. They stepped out and saw the place in chaos and flames. Terrorists who dove out of the way of the plane they shot down were getting up, but Lauren and Tessa drew guns and shot first. Foresight and Circuit took aim and opened fire on hostile's coming around the back, and then they finished them off with grenades thrown at their vehicles.
"Nice work, team." Firefight said "Now we're pushing them back." before he could go on, the plane exploded with blue and black flames in the wreckage "The hell was that!?"
"Artillery strike." Circuit answered through the coms "I'm sensing a mass of vehicles outside the base."
"And we're gonna get more, move!" Foresight shouted and lead the charge for the buildings east of the base.
Behind them came down four more shells that hit with a violet, blazing, explosion.
"Sue, Circuit, Fore; Get outside the base and take out their artillery!" Firefight shouted as he ran "Shadow, escort Lauren in the buildings and rally any troops or survivors!
"Want me to clear the hole?" Temor asked and he ran behind with his massive gun I could send them back right from the courtyard."
"Take Tessa with you," Agreed Firefight "We'll split and head them off where they came in!" And he grabbed Deathless and ran off.
"Try to keep up." Shadow said and started to vanish as she ran for a building.
Sue was gone before Circuit and Foresight even realized it.
"Should we hot the fence?" Circuit asked through the coms "We'll have to fight everything if we try to take the gate.
"Three..." Foresight said, and then turned a way "...Two..." She looked past a building by the wall. "...one."
And back came Sue Dan had returned "I found a way there, that mass of artillery in the back is packed and guarded. You ready for this?"
"I know how most of this goes down," Foresight said "Let's just kill these guys."
"Fine, it's this way." Sue said and ran off at super speed again.
Circuit followed behind with Foresight at the back; all three met again to see the artillery that had the base on its knees.
