-Finally-
I finally have an image to show what a Ruedraal looks like. I put up their species doc forever ago. And this unfinished image of a Ruedraal sat on my computer for at least 3 years, no joke. I -finally- finished outlining it and coloring it--which was the biggest pain ever btw. A few quick notes here so we're all on the same page. First off those tentacle-looking arms are all tongues. And yes, they have an uneven amount of blue...Ruedraal flesh stuff on the arms. That's intentional, these creatures are rather odd. They don't have actual eyes even. They use a type of heat sensing'vision' with those vents on their head. Furthermore, this guy here, Nerve, is one of the milder looking Ruedraal. The other one I have, whenever I finish coloring him, you will see the other arm variant they have--which basically is those tongues with one in the center that mimics the kind that are coming out of this one's mouth just mega sized. Who knows when the other guy will be finished though, haha. If you don't remember the Ruedraal species, you might want to read up on their species again. They're one of the most brutal species in the QDV world.

A couple more things, as a lot of you can probably tell, Ruedraal are inspired by lampreys, also eel-like creatures in general. And tongues. What's up with me and tongues? I have two species with crazy tongues. The Ruedraal and the DL species, Tomb Tongues.

Name: Nerve
Species: Ruedraal

Nerve didn’t get its name for having a fearless disposition or anything of the sort. No, rather Nerve got its name for its thorough knowledge in using one’s senses against them. To word it another, more blunt way, Nerve is quite adept at causing great harm and pain to creatures without it resulting in death.

Nerve is your typical Ruedraal, and like other Ruedraal, assists with things like interrogations. This isn’t because the Ruedraal is particularly interested in anything the varying species have going on between each other, but rather because it aligns with its own desires. It shouldn’t be terribly surprising then, that this creature doesn’t have an abundance of friends. Rather it just has a few colleagues, most of which are shady.

Darklight is one of the few who has been known to successfully communicate with the Ruedraal and return unharmed. Rumor has it Darklight may even have some kind of authority in their society despite not technically being one, perhaps due to the fact he shares some of their DNA and traits.

No one is entirely sure of what connections Nerve has other than the Ruedraal itself, and possibly Darklight, however neither openly discusses this.
