AC 2017 Sketch - Spectrum
:SpectrumG0aty: had a collection of characters that he was developing to populate a pixel side scrolling videogame and these are two primaries. I didn't get a whole lot of information about the nature of the setting or story, but as a visual premise for a videogame these two designs check off a lot of boxes in the 16-bit gaming design category. In that respect I had a bit of nostalgia attack because I would have loved to be doing illustration / character design work for Capcom, Konami, Sunsoft, etc. in the mid 1990's and this picture would have been RIGHT at home.

I do have an account this is it! I gotta say I was very happy to see this, my mate showed me that is was here and I was very surprised! I'm rather flattered you liked my character designs and I would be more than happy to commission you again because your style defiantly has made an influence on my own art of them. Cheers!
Heyo, thanks for chiming in! I've updated the text as a result. It's fun stuff and very definitely addresses the design issues of the 8 and 16 bit era sprites, -namely how do you make a character visually distinctive in an environment of limited colors, low pixel resolution, and even smaller memory footprint for character size on the screen. The answer? Exaggeration! I do hope you'll get your game project developed as I think the visual design would work well in such a presentation.
