“Alright you, listen up. If you wanna be on my crew, you gotta learn the rules.
Rule #1: I am the smartest Hyena around.
Rule #3: Anything that walks is fair game. I don’t care how big it is. The bigger the game, the bigger the meal!
Rule #4: No trick is too tricky if it gets me what I want.
Rule #2: I come up with the plans and you guys do whatever I tell you…to do.
Rule #5: If you ever run into The Lion Guard, don’t let their ugly mugs scare you. That’s my job!
Rule #6: Nobody—and I mean NOBODY—runs away from a fight…unless I say so.
Rule #7: Whatever I say goes. Don’t like it? There’s the trail out of The Outlands. Use it!
Rule #8: In this clan we only do things one way: My way!

Janja and the other Outlanders clearly Can't respect the Circle of Life when the amount it would give them would clearly make them starve, they haven't had a decent meal in years. If something bad were to happen to the Lion Guard, particularly Kion, it would eliminate a MAJOR OBSTACLE to the Outlanders, since the Roar of the Elders would be gone forever.
