Reiya uses a New Waco Arms Pulse Plazer(a plasma bolt that rides a laser beam)Pistol.
It like the heaver Plasma Powergun, uses mini-cartridges, about as big around as 1 mm., the bolt exits at about 10mm.
The rounds are loaded in the grip as thay are in modern handguns and the powerpack is recharged by a cartridge under the barrel( and can be recharged by an adaptor).
