Since I didn't know about the existence of the furry fandom back then, one weekend that some friends from Mexico (who also were Spanish language assistants) and I were bored, we decided to visit the Netherlands for the first time. And to make it fun, since most things would be closed on a weekend, I brought Xavier and the other two assistants brought luchador wrestling masks from Mexico to wear. It was a very fun weekend and in the end, the fursuit was necessary for me because the hostel in which we stayed had its heating system broken down, so that meant that being ddcember, we were all having a hard time sleeping at 2 degrees celsius inside the rooms. However, I was all right because I had something warm to wear. It was probably the shittiest and most expensive hostel I have ever stayed in (€30 for one night in a bed in a 32-bunk bedroom, with no heating and just a chocolate bar for breakfast, and no heating). But the first impression that the Netherlands gave us was absolutely fantastic and left us all wanting more of it.
