"My slave, I was thinking... spicy kebab sandwiches for lunch!"
"My owner! That's a great idea!"
"Go around and take everyone's orders! We'll all go on break when you're back!"
Kyerlie of Brook Divide runs Kyerlie's Ropes, Strings, Twines, and Threads, a small workshop where she makes all kinds and lengths of rope, including fishing nets and ropes for big ships, as well as processing some material on the side for the textile hall up in Tabrix Town. She opened the shop with a loan from her better Nolast by-the-edge-of Brook Divide, a wealthy Flame Child land-owner who is always looking for new investments. She's slowly paying off her debt but business is doing well enough the place will be entirely hers in just a few more years! Which is good, because the terms of the contract stated she'd fall into slavery if she failed to meet the right payments but hey, that's just how business goes.
She has three Garbage Children slaves doing most of the labor, employs several young Secrets Children on the side to fill in when she's overwhelmed with work, and has her trusty personal slave Meetsi who helps her keep everything running. The two of them have a lot of experiences with knots, if you know what I mean.
Bondage.
She has her slave do bondage on her.
It's not an uncommon fetish if you get up to the right kind of brothel, but it's always kind of the lesser's position to be tied up. Kyerlie just really likes being powerless and restrained, though, and gosh, she's a Gravity Child, she'd either have to find a husband (way too busy for entertaining marriage right now) or a Flesh Child or better to submit to without it being weird. So, you know. Behind closed curtains, you do what you do.
So long as her betters don't find out I'm sure it won't become a scandal.
Kyerlie is wearing pretty stereotypical clothing for a Gravity Child of her standing. Meetsi has a collar and a veil tie and that's all, but that's okay, because nudity is pretty okay, especially if it's on a slave. Sometimes when they do the bondage, Meetsi dresses up and Kyerlie gets naked, because that enhances the wrongness of the power disparity and that's kind of hot for both of them.
Kyerlie's family isn't pressuring her to get married or anything because, well, she's doing so well for herself right now, if some guy came into the picture what would he really contribute? So she has a lot of time to enjoy herself before the obligation of having children to spread their inheritance and keep the void at bay.

Is there ever a situation where a "lesser" child owns a "better" slave?
I fully understand this would be *weird*, But let's imagine a Flame Child engaged in a conflict with another owns a very skilled Secrets Child.
Say, there's gambling, a table with multiple players. A flesh child and a Secret child. It was not a very good game for the flesh child, and he bets his best slave, a Gravity child. And the Secret child wins.
Possible?

Possible?
Yeah that's plausible.
Slaves technically are always their owner's lesser. So if you're a Secrets Child and you own a Gravity Child, that means the Gravity Child is your lesser by the virtues of their being your slave. Traditionally, slaves use their owner's position to address others. A Gravity Child slave of a Secrets Child would call other Gravity Children "my owner's better" instead of "my sibling."
Lessers can also be elevated by having powerful patrons, too. Like, if you're a famous playwright but you're a Misery Child, but your patron is a Flame Child, sure, everyone will be calling you "my lesser," but it'll probably be with very little condescension, and no one will bat an eye at you owning a slave that's your patron's lesser.
There's also a trope in-universe of a lesser with a better for a slave, and the slave is the one that keeps things in order. It's a common trope in comedy plays, at least, but it happens outside the stage, too. Say, a Garbage Child who ends up starting a successful business, and he owns a Secrets Child, and the Secrets Child is the one keeping all the finances in order and all the products shipping out on time. The Garbage Child could never manage things on its own, but the Secrets Child slave doesn't have the specific skill or big idea the owner has, so they balance out. It's not unheard of for stuff like this to actually happen, although, again, it's the topics of comedies. It's not SUPER respectful to be doing it.
The rules are different too. If you're a Flesh Child and you own a Gravity Child you can rent her body out for sex and no one will care. That person's your property, you own every part of her, you can do with her what you want, you're her better you know best. If you're a Wilderness Child and you own a Gravity Child, though, well, okay, that might get you some bad attention. Who are you to decide that Gravity Child should be a prostitute? You're not her better, you're not using her right. You might get your slave taken away from you by someone more powerful who's taken offense.
That's Goalott's backstory, the gravity heir I doodled that one time. She was a child prostitute owned by a Wilderness Child who ran a brothel, and he used her as a sort of "bang your better" and made sure she got clients that were her lessers only. The Flame Child in charge of the city eventually found out and got pissed--not at the abuse, but at the cheeky "top your better" service the Wilderness Child was offering, and closed the whole thing down and confiscated her. She ended up being given to a Misery Child--her lesser--but the Misery Child is a famous sculptor, and has a powerful patron, and he isn't renting her body out to strangers who should be her lessers, so that's all copacetic.

Oh and that all goes out the door if you're an Heir. Like, an actual proper Heir with functional Interpretations. It doesn't matter if you're just a Misery Child if you can literally control people's emotions just by thinking hard enough no one is going to call you "my lesser" it's always "Heir Yourname" and you can have whatever slave you want. The hierarchy only comes back in if you're dealing with other Heirs.
