So many twins for one character in the fandom
So there is a funny coincidence the BD fandom has !
A certain SirFlicker is known in the fandom for having written a fanfiction entitled Brother Mine on Wattpad ( https://www.wattpad.com/story/36378.....2-brother-mine ), it seems quite popular and exists since 2015, and is even mentionned Wikipedia in the fan category. So I tried last August... But I only read the beginning. As soon Flicker meets his twin Ember, who looks exactly like him but with "E" on his armor and swapped armor colors, I immediatly guessed he would be evil or something and that he would use the fact he looks like Flicker, and I stopped to read. I was right, LordHellJackle confirmed me days ago Ember is evil and wants to be king of Camelhot.
And do you know actually why I stopped to read when I saw it was about a twin of Flicker ?

In July (wow one year ago already) 2016, so before reading the beginning of the fanfic, I met who would become a friend,
kumbartha, when I found his only piece of fanart online of Fire ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17641187/ ), published in 2015 too but he later told me he actually created him in 1996 but he lost the drawings (since our meet he regularly make another one, and kumbartha is kind of a lone wolf and not really into fanfics, he heard about the fanffic only today thanks to me when I told him what I was drawing, and he was very surprised. Little reminder, Fire (btw IT IS THE FIRST TIME I DRAW HIM NORMALLY WOOHOO PROUD OF ME) is Flicker's twin too, starring in the upcoming fanfic Game of Thornes, in which he tries to become king of Camelhot. HE TOO.
And the biggest coincidence is no one copied on each other ! It is a true coincidence ! 2 people living far from each other headcanonned Flicker had a twin brother looking like him but with the opposite personality wanting to topple King Allfire ! So after LordHellJackle made me remember about Ember after I introduced him to Fire (btw I suggested Fire's name to kumbartha, he was giving him several nicknames, one of them was "Fire", and even if it were super simple and cliché for a dragon, I thought it fit him), I immediatly pictured a pic of the 2 universes/headcanon continuities crashing and the 2 fighting accusing each other of being impostors (AND NO NEITHER SIRFLICKER NOR KUMBARTHA COPIED ANYONE, LEARN TO BELIEVE IN COINCIDENCES) Does it really have to do with the 8th episode when Flicker lies to Allfire about having an evil twin ? SirFlicker playing with this making Flicker not knowing he actually has one and kumbartha making Flicker actually making a lie out of something with a true origin ?
To be fair I love how it came out, especially the facial expressions. Aaaaaand I love Clicker, who, I reassure you, is a joke, but frankly, as there were 2 evil twins already, why not making a 3rd twin who however is unoriginal, copying and a Gary-Stu ? lmao
Ultimately, as you guys guessed as I have always been talking of Fire, I much prefer Fire, and merged my headcanon continuity with kumbartha's. It's also because I prefer Fire I didn't bring myself to keep reading, I mean... Fire is so perfect ! SirFlicker if you ever read this, I swear, I WILL read your fanfic, if so many people love it there must be a reason, and I have NOTHING against Ember, it's just... Well, he's just evil Flicker, and even, from what I heard, betrayed Flicker even after he made him believe he would reform, double treason, and then once caught, he would escape, saying in a letter he couldn't help but betray because it is in and that he would come back to try to be a real brother (they didn't grow up together, they literally meet at the start of the fic) ; even physically, he is just him with swapped armoor colors (why an armor ?! He's not even a squire !). Fire, on the other hand, is more original as he looks like Flicker but not completely (not the same clothes, muscles, hair and thick eyebrows), did grow up with Flicker and does feel sincere brotherly love from their childhood and early teenhood (remembering those is what makes him reform ; and TRULY reform, he will then become a squire), falls in love and our several RPs shows he's playful, show-off, loving to read and cook, used to be a bully and can have bully behaviour he regrets and tries to fight, trollish, at times immature at times wise, very pervy about his boyfriend (the Chancellor) etc, wanting to be king not only for him but also because he sincerely thought the kingdom needed better rules and that Allfire is an idiot, and for a reason : passionate with history and genealogy, he found out that Flicker and him and Allfire and Flame have a common ancestor 4 centuries ago, King Burn, that Allfire and Flame are descendants of the legetimate child and him and Flicker from the illegetimate, who was born first, so Fire thouht they were more legetimate. And even after he reformed, he's still tempted at times, and acts kind of like an éminence grise. And he's a good uncle and father. Yeah sorry sorry Ember is cool, he is still smart, cunning and the fact he DOES want to become a good brother in the end but can't after years of bad actions and not growing up with him, and his main goal being having power, it must be very hard to fight off. But I am a sucker for brotherly relationships (Fire reforming just for Flicker as they grew up together) and ships (Fire and Chancellor at first was just for the joke and fun, but the more we talked about them, we loved them, canonXOC OTP of the show to me), so Fire is first, sorry.
I put the hashtags despite the presence of Fire, who is a character shipped with a canon ship (the hashtags are here only for canon ships), because it is about the fandom and OCs in general, not just him, it doesn't count. It's a joke, Clicker is not even real lolz.
