Not using lineart is a new technique that I indulge into every now and again. I find that a lot of the great art that I enjoy viewing tends to use bounce light and lighting technique and shape and colors to really flesh out the drawing rather than lines. I do have a few pieces like this, though I tend to go in and out of using lineart vs using light/shades.
Both have amazing qualities such as lineart vs shade, but both can look really good to me in the end, so I have two different types of techniques between using lineart vs using shade.
