4th of July '17 (Story in description)

The sound of explosions lit up the night sky as "Oohs and Awws" came from the crowd in the park below. It was the fourth of July and crowds around the country were gathered for the celebration. Fireworks were the traditional way to celebrate, and whether you bought and set them off yourself, or just gathered at a park the bright colors and lights dazzled folks young and old. Three sets of yellow eyes were among one such crowd. Sly sat in the park with his two housemates Maneki and Luck. The two female felines were cuddled up to him close as the colors from the explosions of light washed over them.
"This is such a beautiful display." said Maneki with a sigh.
"Yeah. Wolfwood always goes all out on the fireworks display. Too bad they couldn't do the carnival this year." replied Luck.
"Yeah, but it's alright. As long as I get to watch this with you two." chimed in Sly with a wink first to Luck, then to Maneki. A slight blush crossed both feline's faces as they saw this.
"Oh Master..." replied Maneki as she moved closer to cuddle up to the male.
"You really are corny sometimes." said Luck in return doing the same.
"You know as many times as your say that I've never once heard you complain about it so you must like it." said Sly with a chuckle. Luck only turned to look away from him lightly before another explosion brought her attention back to the front. Sly smiled as the show continued. He was happy to share these little moments with his pets and housemates. "I love you girls." he said seriously as he pulled them a little tighter against his own body.
"We love you too." said both Maneki and Luck together in reply as they curled their tails around that of their Master in their own show of affection. They stay cuddled up like this for some time as the fireworks continue to dance in the night sky above them.Hope all of my American watchers has/had a happy and safe 4th of July. This piece was done by my friend
wrytergirl as part of this month's art set. I couldn't resist asking for a themed piece and she drew my idea very cutely. Hope you all like.
