The Maverick is probably the most popular Nerf blaster in the range. Its a comfortable size, fires six rounds and not only looks great but has a nice satisfying barrel mechanism. Compared to other blasters, the Maverick is fairly powerful and probably one of the most accurate. It's perfect for office wars as it can be hidden in a bag or draw and in Nerf War, one of these is a great as a main or backup weapon.

All I did was change out the spring for a stronger one out of a broken airsoft rifle. I found it had quite an improved kick (I should hope so, at least since it's now actually hard to pull back the slide and it even bent out the metal bit inside--had to replace that with a bolt) and I've been quite satisfied with it. I also cut down the plastic bit that kept the chamber from swinging out all the way which just makes it way cooler looking.

Ah, those were the days when Nerf just tried to make the most powerful toy guns around. Then some cival do-gooders probably forced them to tone down their toys 'for safety'. Bah, I know someone who shot himself in the eye point blank range (accidentally) with a Maverick and was fine.

I've seen it at my local Zellers a few days ago. Been dreaming about it ever since, but I can't really afford it and I'm afraid I'll look utterly immature if I buy it =C
Say, when you say it has a range of 9 meters, is it before it starts dropping or when it touches the ground?
