Anthrocon 2017 - Lobster Feast by Heather Bruton
This is the first of two pictures I had done this year featuring a scene from one of my Metamor Keep ( http://metamorkeep.com/ ) stories. In this case, "Healing Wounds in Arabarb" ( http://metamorkeep.com/story/Healin.....n_Arabarb1.php ). This features three brothers all of whom were turned into arctic sea birds. On the left we have the youngest, Machias, who is a Puffin. In the center we have the middle brother, Lubec, who became a Black Cormorant. On the right is the eldest brother, Quoddy, who became a Gull.
In this scene they are in a lighthouse tower having just returned from flying out to sea and are sharing some lobster together. Lubec has his wings spread because he is trying to dry them off; Cormorant feathers get wet, unlike Puffin and Gull feathers.
These three were inspired by my trip to Maine in 2010, What a beautiful land and sea! And I knew
