Well, today marks the first time I've ever attempted lightning photography. For this shot being the first one with a lightning bolt in it, I was happy. :D
I didn't have my tripod with me as I was originally on my way to shoot a car accident, so I used the roof of my car to steady the camera instead. Plus, the accident was right under the worst part of the storm, just off to the west where I was facing. I didn't want to get my camera wet. :P

Since I'm using a Digital SLR camera, it's very fancy with it's settings. I set the camera on a tripod and set the shutter speed to 15 seconds. Once I press the button the shutter stays open for 15 seconds, and any light that appears in the frame during that time is captured in the photo. :3
