This is my half of a trade with  dockyo, who asked for a macro wolf holding a smaller wolf. The wolf was new new territory for me, but I think it came out okay. Dockyo, asked for linework (we wanted to color it on his end) but for the post I also did a quick coloring.

Also given the day, happy Independence Day to those that observe it, as well as Carnival Tuesday, Liberation Day, and Unity Day depending on where you live. I'm spending the day soothing the quivering mass that is my dog.

Question Time! I feel I'm pretty bad picking colors for my artwork. Most of the ones that have good colors is because I pull them directly off the reference. This is the first one I feel like I actually picked good colors and they are mostly just a warm gray. So my question is, how do you pick colors for your artwork?
