Lhasin prison was not a kind place...not when it came to it's prisoners. Both prisoner and guard were forces to not be trifled with and XXIII was one of them. He was a strong fellow who had been imprisoned for a rash of burglaries, assault and the like as well as being pinned as the one who destroyed the fabled Nos Library. Though imprisoned, he was resourceful enough to soon form and run his own circle within the prison, including guards to the point where if somebody wanted something done...it could go no other way except through him. For a time, he enjoyed his life as he was able to procure goods that allowed him to live a comfortable life within the prison walls...but it wasn't until one day that a tiger had been brought into the prison. From what he had heard, the boy was accused of murdering his master though looking at him...the stallion could see the tiger was not the sort to have done such. He had taken the tiger in under his wing and while he couldn't protect the tiger at all times, he was there to see the tiger's wounds tended to. 17 years of this...and the boy seemed broken except anytime he was with the stallion.
Though it was one night that the stallion was seeing to some new prisoners that he had heard the alarms going off. One of his informants had come to him, telling him that the tiger had managed to escape by taking advantage of one of the new guards. He cursed under his breath, thinking the tiger brash to make such an escape. Even though he could practically run the prison from the shadows, he felt like a father to the tiger...and he was not going to let him go out there alone. He would pay off one of the guards to allow him to leave and soon, set out to find the tiger....to understand what set him off and hopefully talk some sense into him.
