You did an outstanding job with this! Vapour looks absolutely fantastic and the water effects are amazing.
This picture here is exactly why I love commissioning you. I gave you full control over character choice and full control over the scene, I went in with no idea, and you manage to come up with an absolutely wonderful picture that fits the characters so very, very well!
Vapour looks absolutely stunning here. I have absolutely no idea why I didn’t think of commissioning her from you earlier, as goodness, you draw wonderful Vaps. Her entire form looks wonderful. The expressions is fantastic, the hair looks stunning, the fins looks great, the skirt and the top with the awkward stripe pattern look fantastic. And I do love that huge thick tail. The pose is absolutely amazing. I have no idea how you came up with the concept for it but it is silly good, and fits the character perfectly.
Also the water effects are really nice, the depth and the stark contrast between the water above and below the surface works great. I also really like that you’ve managed to make her look wet with the shiny specular highlights and bits of water running down her face. I really have trouble doing that kind of thing! I also like that you managed to make the water look so clear, yet so choppy at the same time. The poor folks on the boat are in for more than they’ve bargained for!
Absolutely fantastic though. I don’t like to play favourites, but I think this might be my favourite Vapour pic to date by any artist, myself included. It’s just so very in character, she’s big, she’s teasing, and it just looks so good. It’ll be going straight into my ref folder for Vapour, as it’s perfect.
