Payment received, thank you! Sorry about the wait in reply, but it was night, I went to sleep and then I had work this morning so...
They are dream manipulators (and partially mind controllers as in they show you what they want and make you believe it's real), so within dreams there is virtually no limit to what they can do. Of course more experienced Oniroi know how to use the dreams better than a younger one. They can appear on the physical plane as well, but their powers are limited then to the state of mind of the other person. An older Oniron can put an awake person to sleep, but drugs can also be a gateway to the subconscious.
They are tendentially not-evil, (since they are immortal, an Oniron chooses a family/line to protect and that's mainly what they do), there must be a reason for the Oniron to actively try and wound/kill another creature. In the case of my Oniron, Aazon, the last of the family he was supposed to protect was betrayed and murdered, and this made him turn against the killers.
Them being not-evil doesn't mean they can't be foul-mouthed, cantankerous, spiteful, downright petty, though, but it's genuinely hard to find one that is true evil with no reason at all.
Anyway, let me know if you need any more infos about them. :)

Would it be possible for their power or minds to be corrupted by their enemies (Barathroi). Not a complete corruption, say the Barathroi captured and tortured one who was deemed a particular threat? If there is a hierarchy of Oniron of course or Barathroi for that matter. Would spending too much time in the nightmare wielder's realm cause the Oniron's magic to become corrupted or hybridized where they wield both? Of course the consequences of such a potent mixture of dream magic would be varied. Would other Oniron reject one of their own who could do that or simply try to attack and end them? Would it change their immortality?
Haha, spoilers are needed then. This is a part of the Oniroi lore that I have not yet shared because it is very underdeveloped but... A nightmare is just a dream turned bad, right? So what would happen if a 'dream' protector warped the dream to cause pain? That's exactly how Barathroi work, they cause nightmares to then feed on the fear it causes. While that fear would not feed an Oniron (yet), when repeated enough times, the Oniron *would* in fact become a Barathron. So yes, causing nightmares will change the nature of an Oniron.
(Barathroi are not born, they are corrupted.)
It's more or less a balance, you can't have the same number of Oniroi and Barathroi or you'd have the same number of dreams and nightmares. I'll need to explain a little bit better this part, though; when I say 'dream world' I don't mean there's a 'nightmare world' opposite of it. The dreamscape is always the same, the sub/inconscious, but it can be inhabitated by good dreams (influenced by Oniroi), bad dreams (influenced by Barathroi) or be devoid of dreams (usually when the two are fighting).
Also, it is wrong to believe that all Barathroi are evil. After a while, the fear caused by nightmares becomes their only source of nourishment, so they are *forced* to cause nightmares to survive. Some of them keep on enjoying the rush of fear and some realize that what they're doing is bad, but they need to do it not to die. (These 'good' Barathroi are very few because a good number of them does, in fact, starve to death or is usually too weak from underfeeding to cause many problems.)
This is becoming random, let's go question by question:
- Would it be possible for their power or minds to be corrupted by their enemies (Barathroi). Not a complete corruption, say the Barathroi captured and tortured one who was deemed a particular threat?
As said before, the corruption comes from within the Oniron, from their willing actions against their own nature. A Barathron can try and cause an Oniron to be 'corrupted' but not in a direct way. Torture will not work, an Oniron has to *want* the corruption.
- If there is a hierarchy of Oniron of course or Barathroi for that matter.
Oniroi generally stay with the line they protect, the older they are, the more powerful and respected they are, but there's no hierarchy. Barathroi also do not have a hierarchy (as always, ubi major minor cessat) but with one exception, which is the Nightmare King, my Volkfar. He is considered 'different' because he was the first to become corrupted. As a side note, becoming a Barathron is so taboo that no Oniron knows what would happen if they were to willingly cause nightmares. Only Barathroi know that they were Oniroi before, but no one will speak.
- Would spending too much time in the nightmare wielder's realm cause the Oniron's magic to become corrupted or hybridized where they wield both? Of course the consequences of such a potent mixture of dream magic would be varied.
Answered half of this before, there are not two worlds but only one where the two influences fight. However, an Oniron can only use dream powers and a Barathron can only use nightmare powers. During the corruption they are able to use both, but the window of opportunity depends on the Oniron. The more they take pleasure in creating nightmares, the faster they corrupt. Once they are Barathroi, there's no turning back. This window of opportunity can be as short as some days or as long as years. They can also become balanced in their corruption, but this happens only if they stop using nightmares. No road back, every time they use a nightmare, it's a step forward, if they only use dream magic, they remain Oniroi but will always have the temptation in the back of their minds.
- Would other Oniron reject one of their own who could do that or simply try to attack and end them? Would it change their immortality?
Also answered half of this before, it is taboo to speak of the corruption, so the Oniron will do anything in their power to keep it a secret and either keep on being a corrupted Oniron (and bear their shame in silence) or go forth with the corruption and become a Barathron. And nope, Barathroi have the same immortality as the Oniroi.
