.:Happy Canada Day From Penelope!:.
To celebrate Canada's 150th, I present to you my charming little Penelope the Pachirisu!
Penelope, incidentally enough, appears in my character Matt's storyline. When he traveled across Lake Ontario, he arrives into a different land altogether. This appeared moreso towards the climax of my storyline. Penelope actually was a character that had been taken from her mother, and given some sort of injection. The idea was "Delta Species Pokemon," making her Fire type while looking like an Electric type...but, the experiment had failed. The experiment turned her fur from a whiteish blue and blue markings to reds and flames, making her a Fire type.
So, the irony is, several months ago, I was looking at Penelope. I knew my character Penelope was from Canada because--well, Matt traveled north...and beyond Lake Ontario is--well... Canada. xD so that technically made her Canadian. What I noticed was, her fur pattern from behind... xD and given that her ears are fluffy and pointed, I made a connection: She LOOKED a LOT like the maple leaf used on the flag!
Earlier today, I pondered that thought, and quickly put together this cute little image x3 I'm hoping you all enjoy it. Penelope reads a book with a red cover--maybe it's something about Canada's history? ;3c Who knows~
This is just a little gift for my Canadian friends. ^^ Happy Canada Day, and I hope you all had a happy 150th, our good friends to the north! n.n Although I myself am not Canadian, my great-grandparents did come from Canada, so I suppose I can say that I can be proud of my French-Canadian heritage! Happy Birthday, Canada!
Pénélope is mine.

In my storylines, there was something being done to Pokemon that was similar to the Delta Species Pokemon in the TCG. Pokemon kept their appearances but were having their element type and movesets forcefully changed through genetic manipulation by humans. The humans were capturing different Pokemon they could find to use them as test subjects. Her mother was protective of her, and wouldn't allow herself to be separated from her daughter, so Penelope was forcefully taken away.
