This piece was loads of fun. (and a pain to photograph) This is my half of a trade with Nighthyena on DA, its her character (http://nighthyena.deviantart.com/art/Adkin-Reference-Sheet-2009-123519484) Lots of Sharpie work on this piece.

The figure is wire core with fabric skin. The mane and tail are faux fur tinted with blue Sharpie. The markings on the pelt are black Sharpie. And the markings on the front legs are white leather turned blue with Sharpie. The eyes are beads.
