Decided to contribute to Pride Month at the last minute. I wanted to do this sooner, but I couldn't think of many ideas. I do have a character who is LGBTQ based, but I still need to work on it a bit. So instead, I decided to have my characters Maxwell and Mai-Ra show that they're proud to be allies of the LGBTQ community, by holding up a pride flag. Despite their differing viewpoints on things, they can both agree on advocating for the rights to all sexualities.
I really wanted to draw this because I have been coming across a lot of friends who are part of this community. Whether they're Bi, Pan, or even Ace. Sometimes it's really hard to understand why these people get discriminated. It shouldn't matter who decides to follow what sexuality, because underneath, we're all mostly the same. And until we can all understand that and make peace with the community, I and my characters will continue to stand up for LGBTQ rights.
