Atea, the Driven Mercinary
With the surge of new fighting games such as Marvel vs Capcom Infinite and Injustice 2, the urge of fighting games and pixel overwhelmed me and I found myself doing a new round of pixel art characters for a theoretical fighting game that uses the framework of Injustice 2’s combat system. I decided to even try my hand at a few of the Endless Skies characters as well, including Atea Hazi
The Albino Mercenary whole playstyle is based on mid-range pokes, sweeps, and anti-airs with her war staff, but what makes her different than Injustice 2′s Aquaman is that Atea also has a decent ranged game with the plasma cannon in her cybernetic arm as well as a few good up close strikes with her plasma claws.
Atea’s trait is her Renovian Warstaff; when activated, Atea gains two extra moves, first being a defensive move that can stop and absorb ranged attacks which then powers up the attacks she does with her warstaff. The other new move she gains is a full screen, instant ranged attack that gets more powerful with each projectile absorbed; however when used, the power gained goes away.
