welp... yeah, i don't know if there's already anything like this but i just came up with this off the top of my head and i just happened to have everything i needed.
almost.
But yeah you could put these on ice cream, maybe pancakes or those little sponge cake bowls idunno what they're called. Like usual, everything in here is adjustable and most ingredients are basically optional.
Here's what i dun.
-Ingredients-
~maybe about 2 cups of cherries, cut in half and seeds removed (i used washington cherries)~♡
-3 shots or so of whiskey, give or take depending on taste and whatnot (i used 2 Gingers Irish whiskey)~♡
~bout 4 big heaping spoonfuls of raw honey~♡
-a nice little shake of cinnamon~♡
-just a tiny bit of red pepper flakes~♡
-tinyish spoonful of cocoa powder. any kind~♡
-Procedure-
-cut the cherries in half and remove the seeds. put them aside somewhere ants won't conveniently find and invade them.
-in a small pan (preferably a nonstick one the size you'd fry an egg or 2 in) pour the whiskey and turn the stove onto a low heat
-after a minute or 3, spoon in the honey and mix it through
-add the cinnamon, pepper flakes and cocoa powder and mix again
-maybe let it infuse or whatever for a minute idk
-stick the cherries in and turn the heat up to a low simmer. stew the cherries in the sauce until you're nice and happy with them.
-Notes and stuff-
About halfway through i realized this would kick even more ass if i had some walnuts to put in them. crush them up, maybe toast them or however you do it to shake the skins off. Might also be good with rum. especially bacardi's Oakheart i imagine. Rosemary might also work. Or something. If you decide to make this, maybe let me know how it turns out. or maybe you can think of sone additions or variations like.
