I've FINALLY got my thumbs out of my butt and made another digital piece! This one is more or less just a practice piece beforeI start taking care of long overdue commissions x,3 Feel free to say what you think! ^^
So here they are!!
This is what happens when you let yourself slip down into watching BMFM with your gf! ;D
To be perfectly honest, I didn't think I would like it as much as I've come to do. It's goofy ans silly and sometimes in horribly low quality, but for the most of the time, I just enjoy the overall familiarity in it all. The characters and the voice-actors really grows on you after a while. The main characters are all products of classical 80:s macho guys, but not without their personal redeaming qualities. The story and the concept is simple - but rich enough to make you interested. I find myself thinking about what ISN'T told in the story. Are the Mice originally from Mars? Was the Plutarkians originally from Plutark? Is it all just a reaction to a much older and more complex conflict? Who's Dr Karbuncle when you really start to think about it!?
The only direct downside with the serie is the fact that the characters NEVER really faces any real THREATS or EMOTIONALLY CHALLENGING SITUATIONS. The episode is simply: Opening conflict - Heroes prevails. Main Conflict/Introduction of new minor Villain - Heroes prevails. And finally - destruction of Limburger Empire Tower, topped with adorably cheesy punchline. END. But that can be said about most Tv-series of the late 20:th century, to be fair.
Pretty happy with how it turned out :)
And yes, I do know that Throttle's Nuke-Knucks are on the left hand here, but honestly, it switches hand in every god damn frame xD
I'm kinda hoping that it could be developed in to a full movie on day, as long as the director has a good way to translate the basic content into something that can be interesting for the general audience.
And as a finishing note:.....
....2006 version sucks and does not exist.
