What really stands out to me about this picture is the face. I love how her eyes are seductively hidden behind her hair. That's a nice choice of a pose as well. Seeing a lot of cool images like these as of late is getting me inspired to design some character pinups.

How do you keep such a clean lineart when you use colored pencils? I make an outline, and when I color, it gets smudged along with the colored pencils.
Do you sketch first, color with pencils, and then go over the sketch with a pen?

I guess my methods are a little weird. First, sketch with regular pencil, then very lightly (with a ball point pen that doesn't make ink goobers) I'll do the outline. After letting the ball point ink dry a bit (otherwise it'll smear) I'll erase the regular pencil lines, then do the colored pencils. Once all the coloring is done, I outline with a .005 micron and pray I don't fuck it up. :D

I'd always wondered about that! o_O I haven't had much luck with inking over pencils though, as the wax in them makes the microns not want to draw in some of the heavier places. Hence why I like markers so much. D: They don't fuck with my head!

Yeah.. microns are a pain in the ass to ink over colored pencils. The edges of the paper are covered in little wax-removing-squiggles.
