kjets. This time he asked for a scenario from "The Bellmaker", where the two searats, Slipp and Blaggut, are keeping Tarquin the hare from interfering with them snooping around the abbey at night.
This is the first time I've ever drawn Slipp or Blaggut. While I do like their designs here in general, these still aren't how I imagined them in the book. So I think I'll re-design them for a later pic sometime. We'll see.

Blaggut really was quite the sweetheart; a rare member of our kind. ;)
I must admit, from one of the book illustrations, Balggut seemed a rather malnourished fellow. I'm not quite sure how he was described physically. Either way, I appreciate your design as well.
Yes. The Number 1 Sweetest Vermin in the entire series. I'm so glad Jacques was kind to him and allowed him a happy(ish) ending. There were some vermin that I always though Jacques was a little too cruel towards (ie, Dingeye and Thura; those guys were the real stars of "Salamandastron"; I believe he could have had them live to the end of the book).
Oh yes, in the book's pictures, Blaggut looked very thin, but the book itself described him as "big", and even fat. I believe one of the insults Slipp hurled at him was "Bucketbelly." XD It even seemed like Blaggut was much bigger and stronger than Slipp, who was already a pretty big and strong rodent. ^^
But thank you anyway, I'm glad you like what I came up with here. Heh, actually, I was considering basing Blaggut's look off of Cluny's. Sort've a "mirror" thing: the most iconic evil rat of the series vs the most iconic good rat of the series.
