I have has the much smaller Soup for almost two years now. When I got him he has a mild case of soft shell which I have been been keeping under controll. It is exreamly hard to get rid of it compleatly for him because his was not caused by environmental issues as is usually the case, he was more smaller than the average slider and didnt getter the propper care at hatching, aslong as treatment is kept up he will not get worse, though he will probably have it most of his life.

Stew has only recently joined our family and with her came not only soft shell, but soft shell at its advanced stages known as shell rot. She too is getting treatment for both conditions and we hope she starts to get better soon.



Both photo's were taken after the turtles got finished with their three hour long Turtle Sulfa Dip and than getting a coating of VitaShell cream massaged onto their shells.
