He's waiting in the sky.


Today was hard. Today (the 24th) marked the one year anniversary of the death of one of my old friends.
We all lost her tragically and senselessly. Her story was all over the news even nationally for a couple weeks after the event took place. Her and her sister were both taken by their own mother in a fit of rage towards their father.

Any kind of loss is hard for me to deal with. Losing a team mate, a friend, someone that was in my life for several years was suddenly gone. It's so, so surreal. It's hard.
Life is precious, and it can come to an end suddenly. Take the time to tell your friends, your family, all of your loved ones that you love them. Spend time with them. Forgive them for the little things because you don't know when they'll just not be there one day...
Life is taken for granted so often. I'm guilty of it as well, but it is so precious, and it's a gift.

I'd also like to take this moment to advocate that if you feel you are in a dangerous relationship, that the relationship poses a danger to you or your loved ones with you. Don't wait to leave. Don't wait for things to get better. Don't wait for "a good time" get out as soon as you can. No relationship is worth risking your life. Please. Get to a safe place.

Rest easy Taylor. You are so loved and so missed.
